Campaign Against Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence-SouthShore, known as CAHT, received a generous donation of much-needed supplies for their human trafficking and domestic violence victim services program from Arbor Philanthropy Group of south shore, Florida.
During the summer months, CAHT’s Victim Services committee, chaired by Bonnie Doll, starts putting together next year’s backpacks for human trafficking and domestic violence survivors. Last year they gave out over 200 backpacks for male and female youth in the Tampa Bay region. Each backpack holds $75 worth of basic clothing, supplies and accessories, even a small cuddly toy. The backpack orders come from area law enforcement, sheriff’s departments, safe shelters, foster homes, rehabilitation centers and teens-at-risk centers. Arbor Philanthropy Group contributed over $500 worth of new items for the backpacks at their June meeting.
