World Day Against Human Trafficking

July 30, 2022 is World Day Against Trafficking In Persons

Each year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked across the globe — including here in the United States. Human trafficking is a complex, wide-ranging crime, but there are simple steps you can take to help combat it. World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is July 30. On this day Blue Campaign encourages you to take at least one action to educate yourself or your community about human trafficking. Some ideas include:
Learn the indicators of human trafficking: Recognizing key indicators of human trafficking can be the first step in identifying victims and possibly saving a life. You can also download Blue Campaign’s pocket-sized indicator card.
Save human trafficking reporting numbers to your phone: If you ever find yourself in a position to report suspected human trafficking, you’ll need the appropriate contact information. Call 1-866-347-2423 to report human trafficking activity to the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tip Line 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year. For victim assistance, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text HELP or INFO to BeFree (233733). If someone is in immediate danger, call local law enforcement or 911.
Download or order Blue Campaign human trafficking awareness resources: From posters and information sheets to toolkits, Blue Campaign offers a variety of free materials that can be used in your workplace or community to help raise awareness of how to recognize and report human trafficking.
