January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Activate Connections to Prevent Human Trafficking

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month (HTPM), a national observance designed to raise awareness and educate the public on the role it can play in preventing and responding to human trafficking.

“Activate Connections to Prevent Human Trafficking” is the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) theme for 2024.

They stated, “To improve the lives of those we serve, we must activate connections throughout the systems that impact individual, family, community and societal health and well-being. When we partner to prevent, we can enhance our efforts to keep everyone safe from human trafficking.”

CAHT’s commitment to supporting victims, celebrating survivors, disrupting demand, and ending human trafficking will require all of us to educate ourselves and work together to protect our kids and prevent the tragedy of falling victim to traffickers.

Throughout the year, we will be inviting all of you to come together and participate in the efforts to stop human trafficking. There are many ways to help, and each of us has a unique skill set that will contribute to the overall effort.
