Campaign Against Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence- SouthShore, known as CAHT, will hold their fall kick-off general meeting on Monday, Sept. 21 at 1 pm.
Due to COVID19, this meeting will be online – using the ZOOM system.
The September topic is CAHT – WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO.
There will be short presentations from some of the committee chairs on what their committees do to support our struggling families in our community. “You will be surprised how active some of our committees have been during the summer months because of the impact on families struggling with increased poverty, loss of housing, domestic issues and just plain loss of hope,” states president Annie Garrison.
“We want our members and the community to know more about CAHT and how flexible we have been in adapting to the needs of marginalized families in our community during the COVID19 epidemic.”
There will a drawing for a door prize, Mary Oliver’s poetry book, Devotions, as well as 3 fabulous baskets will be auctioned off at the end of the meeting as a small fundraiser and just for fun! If you wish to sign up for the zoom meeting, please email Jean Harrison, our membership chair, at Jean9910@aol.com. It is free. The meeting will also be posted with an invitation to join on our web page with the zoom invite as well as being sent out through our membership blast later in September.
